METRO Cash & Carry Debts Growing in Tyumen Oblast

THE TYUMEN OBLAST.

Debts of METRO Cash & Carry to Tyumen food products suppliers amounted to 14.8 million roubles in the beginning of July 2009. Overdue payments of the retailer for shipments received amount to 825 thousand roubles.

The regional government informed RusBusinessNews that in the last week alone the debt of the company to agricultural products processors and to wholesalers has grown by 1 million roubles. Amongst large suppliers to METRO Cash & Carry in the West Siberia are OAO Butter and Cheese Combine Ishimskiy, OAO Unimilk Company, OOO Ishimskiy Meat Combine, OAO Tyumen Bread Combine.

According to the official data from METRO Cash & Carry there are 49 retail centres in Russia currently, these include shops in Ekaterinburg, Tyumen, Perm, and Kopeysk (Chelyabinsk Oblast).
