16.07.2009 — News

THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST.

McDonald's will have 7 to 10 restaurants in the largest cities in the Urals - Ekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, and Tyumen - in the next 5 years. The fourth restaurant of the chain will open in Ekaterinburg in August 2009.

The McDonald's Russian representative office informed RusBusinessNews that now there are 6 restaurants of the fast food chain, three in Ekaterinburg, two in Chelyabinsk, one in Tyumen. All Ekaterinburg restaurants are located in shopping centres while the company does have a very strong desire to open standalone complexes in the capital of the Sverdlovsk Oblast.

In order to construct such a complex it is necessary to have a plot of land of the area two to five thousand square metres. McDonald's is continuing negotiations with Ekaterinburg city administration regarding the allocation of the plot of the needed size.
