SVERDLOVSK REGION
The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation presented its unique experience in supporting families at the 7th specialized exhibition and forum, Healthcare of the Urals. The event takes place from April 15 to 17 at Ekaterinburg-Expo.
The world's largest titanium producer offers its female employees paid social leave starting from the 12th week of pregnancy. If a woman works under special conditions, the leave begins from the day her pregnancy is confirmed at the prenatal clinic. Ilya Osherov, Chief Physician of the Tirus corporate medical unit, spoke about this at a plenary session on preventive medicine and longevity.

However, the support does not end there. The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation pays mothers a one-time benefit at childbirth and monthly financial assistance for child care from the age of 1.5 to 3. As a result, over the past six years, 1,619 babies have been born to the families of the company's employees.
"We are consistently and systematically expanding infrastructure to help employees start families: we build corporate housing, support young specialists, and promote children's sports," Ilya Osherov noted. "In doing so, the company aligns with national priorities to improve the demographic situation. Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly spoken about employer support for families: 'Employers must play a crucial role in the demographic agenda, because decent stable income, a social package, and a flexible schedule are additional incentives for working parents to build large families.'"
To maintain the health of VSMPO-AVISMA employees and their children, the corporation provides a sports and recreation complex, a ski facility, a track and field stadium, a swimming pool, a boxing club, a motorcycle club, a chess club, and other amenities. Nearly 50% of employees take part in free sports programs covering 17 sports, and more than 1,500 children are enrolled in 16 different sports clubs. In 2025 alone, the corporation allocated 354 million rubles to sports development.
