VSMPO-AVISMA tackles hospital modernization in Verkhnyaya Salda

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation has taken a giant step forward on one of the largest social projects in Verkhnyaya Salda. Bashkirgrazhdanproekt has been selected as the contractor for the development of design and estimate documentation for the new complex of buildings of the Central District Hospital. One of Russia's major design and engineering companies, with over 90 years of experience in housing, civil, and social construction, will carry out engineering surveys, prepare a design project, ensure state approval, and verify an estimated cost of the complex, which will include children's and adult outpatient clinics, as well as children's inpatient clinic. 

 

This new medical complex will be one of signature pieces of a sweeping transformation program for Verkhnyaya Salda, VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation Press Service reported to RusBusinessNews.

Design work will take one year and is being fully financed by VSMPO-AVISMA. Simultaneously, the Corporation is renovating and remodeling the existing facilities. The hospital's therapeutic department has been relocated to the former maternity hospital, improving treatment conditions for the residents of Verkhnyaya Salda. Demolition of the old hospital buildings has begun.

 

The project is part of an agreement between VSMPO-AVISMA and the Sverdlovsk Region aimed at healthcare development in the Verkhnesaldinsky Municipal District. The agreement was signed by the Corporation CEO Dmitry Trifonov and Deputy Governor and Regional Health Minister Tatyana Savinova on September 10, 2025.

VSMPO-AVISMA's support for healthcare in Verkhnyaya Salda is part of a long-term, systematic approach. In recent years, the Corporation provided the Central District Hospital of Verkhnyaya Salda with two lung ventilators, a mobile X-ray unit, two vehicles, personal protective equipment, urology equipment as well as resuscitation monitors. On top of that, since October 1, 2024, Mikhail Shelkov’s Empathy Charitable Foundation has been paying monthly bonuses to 25 paramedics from Verkhnyaya Salda and to 20 paramedics from Nizhnyaya Salda.
