SVERDLOVSK REGION

On the sidelines of the 16th INNOPROM 2026 International Industrial Exhibition, the VSMPO‑AVISMA Corporation has signed two cooperation agreements on the development of education in Verkhnesaldinsky Municipal District.

Under the first agreement, the Sverdlovsk Region Ministry of Education, the Corporation, and Verkhnyaya Salda Aviation and Metallurgical College named after A. A. Yevstigneyev (VSAMK) will draw up a roadmap by December 1 of the current year to guide the development of educational institution through 2030 and enhance the quality of graduate training.

The document was signed by Regional Minister of Education Svetlana Trenikhina, VSAMK Director Natalya Rakitina, and CEO of VSMPO‑AVISMA Dmitry Trifonov.

"In single-industry towns, the educational system has always been different – it is designed specifically to meet the needs of the core enterprise. And it is a significant benefit when a company, in this case – the titanium giant VSMPO‑AVISMA, takes the lead in improving education environment in the community it serves. Fully aware that its future depends on the skills of its employees, the Corporation takes a direct hand in updating educational curricula, provides practical training facilities, and assists with equipment. This ensures that college graduates step into the workplace as fully trained professionals who are in demand on the labor market," Svetlana Trenikhina noted.

Under the second agreement signed by the head of the Verkhnesaldinsky Municipal District Administration Aleksandr Maslov, alongside Regional Minister of Education and CEO of VSMPO‑AVISMA, the parties undertake to pursue a coordinated policy on the development of the municipality's educational system – from preschool through college.

"We invest in education to train professionals, while the College gains an up‑to‑date training ground and guaranteed employment for its graduates. This is more than just a cooperation – it's a shared ecosystem from which all parties benefit: the company, the educational institution, and above all, the young specialists who acquire in-demand profession in their hometown," Dmitry Trifonov emphasized.

Both documents are a logical follow‑up to the agreements reached by VSMPO‑AVISMA, the Verkhnyaya Salda authorities, and the Sverdlovsk Region government within the framework of the organizing committee for the socio‑economic development of the Verkhnesaldinsky Municipal District in the run‑up to the town's 250th anniversary in 2028. Education is one of the 14 strategic priorities.

The VSMPO‑AVISMA Corporation, in an ongoing collaboration with VSAMK, the Sverdlovsk Region Ministry of Education, and Verkhnesaldinsky Municipal District Administration, is currently working on multiple projects. The College was among the first in Russia to join the Professionalitet federal program: A vocational training system has been developed, the facilities have been renovated, and the equipment has been modernized in partnership with the Corporation. A modern campus has been built for College and Ural Federal University Branch students. The Prospect Professional and Industrial Cluster has been launched for schoolchildren, and a creative quarter – for youth leisure activities.
