THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST.
The Sverdlovsk Oblast energy consumption would have to be at least halved. A number of joint Russian-French energy saving projects are being discussed with the industrial group Areva and with Schneider Electric Company, RusBusinessNews was informed.
During negotiations held in the Ministry for International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Oblast French businessmen shared their experience of design and construction of new buildings using energy saving technologies, in particular - upgrading heat and water supply systems. These can halve the energy consumption. The Sverdlovsk Oblast power engineers expect to secure French investment and establish a joint venture to construct energy efficient buildings and produce energy efficient equipment.
