The West Siberian Main Electric Grid began the construction of a new 220 kilovolt Pyt-Yakh - Pravdinskaya power line in Ugra. A 75 kilometre power line is planned to be put into operation in the IV quarter of 2009, RusBusinessNews was informed. The line will considerably improve the reliability of power supply to the Priobskoye oilfield - the largest field in Russia in terms of volumes of oil production and transportation. The construction will require 360 supports and 75 kilometres of wire cable and fibre-optic communication cable to be installed. The estimated cost of the project is 1.2 billion roubles.
