Moscow Water Mains Need Motors from Perm

The resource saving equipment of the OOO Electrotyazhmash-Privod will be installed at the Eastern water treatment plant in Moscow. In 2009 the Oil and Gas Systems company and MGUP Mosvodokanal signed a contract for the turn-key supply of the equipment. The main technical requirement of the customer is that the equipment has to maintain a predetermined pressure in the pressure line depending on fluctuations in the daily water consumption chart.

Electrotyazhmash-Privod engineers are the pioneers in this technology. The company will make two 630 kilowatt motors and one 1000 kilowatt motor for the pump units in Moscow. The Ekaterinburg MUP Vodokanal experience shows that the use of variable drives in the pump units of this type saves up to 25% of electrical energy consumed.
