Uralmash Ready to Work Together with Italian Machine Builders

MK Uralmash, one of the Russian metallurgy equipment market leaders, is going to cooperate with Italian machine building companies. The company informed RusBusinessNews that on 8 April 2009 the Russian Minister for Industry and Trade Viktor Khristenko and the Italian Minister of Economic Development Claudio Scajola were presented with the Uralmash's plans for the future.

During the presentation Nazim Efendiev, the Director General of MK Uralmash, made a statement that the corporation is continuing to actively develop the plans for the modernization of production areas for mill rollers, press forging and drilling equipment. The volume of the investment planned will exceed 300 million Euro. Mr. Efendiev invited the Italian businessmen to take part in the MK Uralmash technical upgrade programme.

"The development of Russian metallurgy is one of the priorities for the Russian Government", said Viktor Khristenko. - "Claudio Scajola and I would like the Italian machine-building and engineering companies to cooperate closely with the Russian companies".

MK Uralmash produces equipment for metallurgy, mining, oil and gas production, and other industries. The company cooperates with the largest companies in the CIS, China, India, Pakistan, Bulgaria, and Romania. The development strategy of the corporation provides for the creation of a world-class machine building company capable to completely satisfy customers' needs for equipment.
