THE TYUMEN OBLAST.

The Russian-German Economic Forum will take place in Tyumen on 15-17 April 2009. The delegation of the German business people will be led by Dr. Renate Schimkoreit, the Consul General of Germany in Ekaterinburg. ENKE-WERK Johannes Enke GmbH & Co. KG, a building materials manufacturer; Knorr-Bremse System Fur Schienenfahrzeuge GmbH and EMF Lebensmitteltechnik-Anlagenbau GbmH, machine-building companies; and, RWE AG, an energy concern, will present their capabilities to the Siberians.

The regional Government has informed RusBusinessNews that representatives of 30 Romanian companies will discuss the future cooperation with the Tyumen business people on 27-28 May. On 8-11 June, a large delegation from Finland will arrive to Tyumen.

Vladimir Yuakushev, the Governor of the Tyumen Oblast, made a statement in the end of March that the regional Government is prepared to present various investment projects to foreign business people, and does not leave out the opportunity of taking loans from foreign banks should conditions prove favourable.

The trade turnover between the Tyumen Oblast and foreign countries has been growing steadily every year. In 2008 it amounted to 1.1 billion U.S. Dollars, which is an 11% increase compared with the preceding year.
