Executive power

A Governor is the highest ranking official in the Sverdlovsk Oblas. Alexander Sergeevich Misharin has been the Oblast Governor since November 2009.

The highest body of executive authority in the Sverdlovsk Oblast is the Government of the Sverdlovsk Oblast.

Anatoly Leonidovich Gredin has led the Government since 7 December 2009.

Legislative power

The Sverdlovsk Oblast Legislative Assembly is the highest body of authority of the representative authority in the region; this consists of the two chambers:
