Information for investors

More than 32 billion roubles of investments has been attracted into the Oblast's economy. The growth has amounted to 42.8% to the level of the previous year.

The following spheres are considered priority for the investment activities:

• agriculture and agriculture products processing;
• food and children's food production;
• development, implementation, and procurement of latest high technologies, materials, and equipment needed to carry out a structured production restructuring and conversion;
• development of the public service infrastructure (the construction and renovation of water, heating, and energy systems, sewerage, treatment plants, roads and access ways, other objects of engineering infrastructure, and communal services);
• renovation and modernisation of equipment used for the production of exports.
  

The regional authorities support the investors by:

• providing the state guarantees or directly allocating funds from the Kurgan Oblast development fund, to be repaid;
• providing subsidies and subventions;
• reimbursement of costs to partially cover the interest payments for the use of credits allocated to the financing of high-tech investment projects;
• direct investments of the Oblast budget resources;
• providing tax concessions.

RA-Expert, a Russian rating agency, gave the Kurgan Oblast the 3B2 investment rating, insignificant potential - moderate risk.
